Using Google to self-diagnose.

Google is a great tool for searching and researching basically anything. Googling your dental symptoms can result in thousands of answers to the same question. So which answer is correct?

Only your dentist can assess and accurately diagnose the cause of your particular issue. Once diagnosed correctly, your dentist can discuss treatment options with you.

Google has a myriad answers to questions like:

  • Why does my face hurt?
  • Why is my gum swollen?
  • Why does my tooth ache during the night?
  • Why do teeth hurt with hot drinks?
  • Why does my jaw ache in the morning?

Google is a helpful tool, but it cannot replace professional advice. Google also cannot place a filling. Use Google for basic advice and information but always seek professional assistance from your dentist. Do not rely on Google for your health advice. Act instead by booking with your dentist.
