A few simple ways to keep the dentist away :
- brush with a soft bristle brush in a gentle motion twice a day
- visit your family dentist twice a year as prevention is always better than cure
- floss between your teeth before bedtime every evening
- don’t use your teeth as tools, they are likely to chip or break on things like bottle tops
- drink plenty of water to improve protective quality of saliva
- avoid eating sugary food and drinks to reduce the likelihood of cavities
- wear a mouthguard for contact and dangerous sports to protect the teeth and supporting bone
- change your toothbrush for a new one at least every 3 months
